ActionScript Hacker / Visualization Guru
NeuralIQ is looking for an extremely experienced ActionScript hacker willing to experiment and push the limits of web development and data visualization. The perfect candidate should have at least five (5) years of heavy experience in ActionScript hacking and web based development in either of the following languages: Python, Ruby or PHP.
The ActionScript Hacker position is an opportunity to leverage your extensive ActionScript and web development techniques to develop our company’s many cutting-edge, web-based data visualization projects. As part of a growing team of world-class engineers (or as we like to call ourselves “Low-Level Code Monkeys”), your activities will include (but not be limited to) finding novel methods of web-based data visualization in Flash and inventing new ActionScript techniques. We want someone who has a strong aesthetic sense, has a knack for visualization and next-generation interface design. Aside from being a very playful, curious, philosophical, abstract, artistic and clever devil, that special candidate will also have the following skills and/or experience:
- Extremely good knowledge of ActionScript and Flash.
- Ability to achieve 3D visualization in Flash using cutting edge ActionScript techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS/CSS2, JavaScript, XML, XHTML, DHTML, AJAX, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of one or more of the follwing Python, Ruby, PHP.
- Experience with MySQL and database driven web sites.
- Extensive understanding of Flash UI design and user.
- Understanding various wireframe fidelities.
- Comfortable working on Linux server backend as well as working with Apache2 and its modules.
- Willingness to learn and try new things as well as extremely good research skills.
- Extremely good sense of design and all newest and current web trends and standards.
- Love for solving problems and being part of truly World class team.
